Review meeting #2: another milestone achieved

The PHOEBE consortium gathered for its biannual consortium meeting on 16 and 17 June at TU Delft. The technical university, located in the heart of the Netherlands, welcomed all partners to plan the remaining twelve months of the project, which is set to conclude in July 2026. In addition, final preparations and exchanges took place regarding the second review meeting with the European Commission, which was held on 18 June at the offices of POLIS Network in Brussels.

What was discussed?

Although PHOEBE cannot disclose any sensitive deliverables from ‘Work Package 3’, its finalisation marked a significant milestone towards the project’s conclusion. High-level summaries of the results will be published on the PHOEBE website in the coming weeks.

Internal discussions focused on the division of tasks within Work Package 5: ‘systems integration and transferability’. This package will synthesise the data collection, analyses, tests, and other outputs from the previous work packages, by consolidating and meaningfully combining the acquired knowledge. This capstone task will culminate in a set of recommendations to be presented at the end of the project.

Further planning also took place regarding forthcoming communication activities and potential future collaboration with the EU Road Safety Cluster. A positive initial reflection was made on recent events, such as the ITS Congress 2025.

How will PHOEBE continue to involve the wider community?

The participating partners have begun to make initial plans for an additional meeting in late spring 2026 involving our community of practice – a group of dedicated experts whom we last engaged with during our consortium meeting in Valencia.

PHOEBE invites you to register for our upcoming newsletter, which will be shared in the next weeks.
