The PHOEBE project partners POLIS and iRAP will give a joint workshop with the ELABORATOR project on Pedestrian safety: assessment, planning and design, which will take place on 14 October 2024 from 14:00-15:30 CET as part of the training sessions of Walk21 Lisbon.
The 90-minute workshop aimed at local practitioners, specifically working in the Portuguese context, will delve into the ways of systematically assessing the safety of pedestrian infrastructures. With an interactive approach, the workshop wants to hear from participants’ needs and challenges and present the importance of systematic road safety assessment and the methodology and tools from iRAP and the EU projects PHOEBE and ELABORATOR. Ultimately, the workshop can help participants comprehend the application of tools, techniques, and perspectives to the specific local context and provide useful insights for PHOEBE on how to improve its framework to respond to the needs of practitioners and cities.
